Ethiopian PM, Hailemariam Desalegn on a state visit to Ghana‏

The Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn, will arrive in Accra on Thursday, 7th April, 2016, for a 3-day State Visit to Ghana.

Accompanied by his wife, H.E. Roman Tesfaye, Prime Minister Desalegn will hold talks with President John Dramani Mahama and visit the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre where he will sign a Cooperation Agreement between the Centre and Ethiopia.

The visiting Prime Minister will also tour a cocoa processing company in Tema and visit Akosombo. As part of the 3-day visit, the Ethiopian Leader will lay a wreath at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and address a joint press conference with President Mahama.

Government signs an MOU with recruiting agencies

In Accra, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 – The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Hanna Serwaah Tetteh (MP) and the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, on behalf of Government, signed an MOU with some Ghanaian and Jordanian recruiting agencies to curb the ill-treatment meted out to Ghanaians hired to work in the Middle-East, as well as to ensure their safety.At the signing ceremony, Hon.
